Awami League leaders and activists began to gather to join the "peace and development rally" at the southern gate of the capital`s Baitul Mukarram Mosque.
Around 11:00 a.m., leaders and activists from AL`s Dhaka North and South unit zones, including the TSC of Dhaka University, the Central Shaheed Minar, the High Court intersection, or the Shahbagh intersection, Kadamfoara, Paltan, and Gulistan, gathered to the venue.
Asim Kumar Ukil, the Awami League`s cultural secretary, and singer Lipi Sarkar have already begun a cultural program with a musical performance in the morning. According to Dhaka South Awami League, the main rally would start after 2:00pm.
Obaidul Quader, the party`s General Secretary, will be the main guest at the gathering.
The programme was attended by prominent members of the AL Central Committee and senior leaders of the Dhaka South Awami League, including Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya, Mirza Azam, SM Kamal Hossain, and Deputy Minister for Water Resources Enamul Haque Shamim.
In the Baitul Mukarram area, all preparations for the `Peace and Development Rally` were completed.
